Transportation

The public transport that goes to Riga International Airport and back is Bus No.22.
Bus route No. 22 is the only route managed by “Rīgas satiksme”, where the ticket can also be bought from the transport vehicle driver. Payment for the ticket is with a bank payment card only, ticket price – 2€.
On bus route No. 22, it is also possible to use the other types of tickets available in advance sale.
Riga City Centre and other destinations from the Airport can also be reached by using a taxi (average fare price 15-20 EUR). We advise using on-line applications, such as Bolt, etc.

Information about public transport in Riga

How to pay for public transport services?

Every time, when using public transport, you have either to register an e-ticket, into which tickets are loaded, or use a code ticket, which allows to make payments for the trips with a smartphone.

Ticket prices

One 90-minute ticket 1.50

A 90-minute ticket can be used for 90 minutes, with the option to travel on any tram, trolleybus or bus route (a ticket must be registered each time another public transport vehicle (tram, trolleybus, bus) is entered). Registration of the last ticket can be made in the 89th minute from the first registration and is valid up to the destination. When entering the next form of transport, a new ticket has to be registered – it can be done, if two or more tickets are loaded.

A code ticket is a method of payment in “Rīgas satiksme” public transport (tram, trolleybus, bus), which allows to make payments for the trips with a smartphone in online mode. The code ticket will work parallel with the existing e-ticket system. In order to use the code ticket, the customers will have to install a mobile application on their smartphones.
